Orders came to
withdraw the pickets from
Fredericksburg. I was in the
church steeple, and had been
forgotten. When I came down at
night, and went to my old
position in the rifle pits, I
found that my whole company was
gone. I was holding the town
myself.

HELP US GROW
We are always looking to
acquire additional artifacts, which help
tell the Civil War Soldier Life story. We
plan to add to the collection in two ways.
The first is through temporary exhibit
loans from other museums and private
collectors. The second is through purchase
of interesting material, which will become
part of the permanent collection.
Primarily, we are looking for artifacts
that can be identified to individual
soldiers and items manufactured in the
South. We need additional band
instruments, excavated state buttons, belt
plates, original flags and uniforms. If
you have any of these items, please
contact us. We would also be happy to help
you identify items that you do not wish to
sell.
Our museum is certified as
a 501c3 not for profit
institution.
DONATIONS

Form
(MS Word doc.)
We will gladly accept
direct donations to the museum in the form
of Cash, Stocks, Land or other assets. We
can set up an endowment so the donor can
take a substantial tax deduction while
ensuring a guaranteed lifetime
income.
Donations can be made not
only for the new building, but also many
areas within the building, and major
exhibits may be named for substantial
donors. This is a wonderful way to ensure
a lasting memorial to a venerated ancestor
or provide recognition to a family,
business, or organization. A list of
naming opportunities will be provided to
those interested. Special endowments may
be made to support artifact acquisition,
preservation and for special programs.
This list is available to those interested
persons.
We are also offering
museum bricks for sale for $125.00 each.
The brick will be a part of the interior
of the museum and will have a brass plaque
on it with the owner's name, business, or
it can be a memorial to an ancestor who
served in the Civil War.
All donations should be
directed to:
